we actually played quite poorly imo, and i would also say that united defended very well, especially in front of their own 18 yard box. don’t think minteh needs hooked yet, there’ll be more space as united chase an equaliser. just need to keep it tight and not concede straight after the break like we did so often last season

Going in 1 up despite not playing that well is a very good sign

However feel we’ve neglected the left wing (apart from the assist) significantly and we haven’t had much joy against Dalot.

Hope we look to involve Mitoma significantly more in the second half as showing a lack of balance currently
They are all over Mitoma, giving him no space or time whatsoever. Probably why Minteh has acres of space.

Man Utd probably shaded the first half. We scored with one of very few chances we had. Minteh not finding any room, Mitoma being kept quiet too. JPVH and Veltman doing well. We also had a dodgy start last week. Let’s hope FH shakes things up a bit or Utd could quite easily win this.

I assume their offside goal was a tight call?

He seems to be a little deeper today, maybe covering Hinsh, who looks less exposed.

Much better in the last 25 mins from Brighton. Still looking too vulnerable in defence - Mitoma helping Hinsh out a lot for sure - but at a cost of attacking effectiveness.

The more dangerous attacks are coming mainly down the right and through the middle - it’s Veltman that’s vulnerable and Milner - Van Hecke doing all the work and magnificent off the ball.

Man U showing a few signs of running out of ideas but they will remain lethal on the Counters - we can’t afford to lose concentration at all. We could find ourselves 1 goal down very quickly so need an early cushion in the second half.

Reasonably happy so far but still on a knife edge.

It´s odd that Mitoma is being almost ignored.

Minteh has got loads of room. Dalot is playing him very well though, and his delivery has been poor.

Our hope is Pedro much more influential just before half time and great run there
