Doubt any signings made this week would go into the team for Everton. The team we have now is the team for at least the first league game.

A lot of business to be done as we have quite a few outs too. We are getting to the point in the window where dominoes often have to fall in order to allow deals to proceed.
Taking CM as an example, it's looking like Gilmour, Moder and Dahoud are not currently in our plans, but were they all to depart without anything lined up to replace them, we'd be looking at Wieffer, Milner, and Baleba as our CM options with potential back up from Hinshelwood, Yalcoure and Ayari. 4 of those 6 are under 21 and one is 38, so it looks like losing the three out of favour players without replacement could leave us a tad vulnerable. The Gomez deal is rumoured to be from January onwards, so we might think that we'll cope, but I guess that we may not be keen to allow moves unless we have something definitely agreed. Loads of other teams will be in the same position. As deals get done elsewhere options will become narrowed and more deals will follow.

Hopefully we'll get O'Reilly done, if only to piss off my Celtic supporting mate who thinks that Celtic winning something before he was born is more important than Brighton playing in the EPL and Celtic in the, well ... not EPL
