Have booked a night on the way up.
We've been to nearby Blenheim Palace before but close by is Packham House and Baddesley Clinton to take a look at in the afternoon.
Spoilt for choice in Liverpool it would seem, just needing somewhere on the way back now, preferably to the north of Birmingham - want to get to a place before their kitchen closes.

Be interested to hear how you found it. Thought of this whilst I sat in it's sister pub yesterday afternoon.

Thank you, it was excellent !
Accomodation, food and the actual pub both inside & out was stunning.
So much so that next time we travel across UK we’d try and work in another stay there into our trip.
Staying at The Kings Arms in Knowle on the way back tonight.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I love the Punchbowl.

I drove past the Kings Arms the other day and it has certainly been done up. When I lived in Knowle it was owned by a pervy old bloke who was a bit "handsy" but on the other hand did a cracking Bacon and Sausage sandwich when I was hungover. I think it's different now!

(Not football trip related) Hotel Indigo Bath is special, in a lovely setting.
