Having a membership posting that skews left in itself isn't to much of a problem

I agree that overall, our userbase skews left.

(although county demographics would skew right)

You know we (the country, not the forum) just voted in Labour by a large majority, right? And even the Tory party have left wing policies (welfare state, NHS etc).

Its just that this cohort appear to be labour party members and activists and a bunch of horrible bastards backed up by an imbecile with a mod panel.
I think it only appears that way to you because you are extremely right wing, and you've been mislead by social media outlets that you mistake for news.

There are still plenty of right leaning posters on here and most are worthy of a discussion.

What we don't have (unlike our beloved team) is many 'wingers'. Right or left.

Although, as you say it really isn't about political leanings. More about not being those things you list and being able to construct a reasonable argument using facts and logic.

It may be that their is a certain culture on NSC but for me it is more about being called out for positing unsubstantiated/poorly researched bilge.

Personally I quite like it, the bilge posters probably do not but surely there are other places to spew their halfbaked opinions. Tommy Robinson's twitter feed or the Daily Mail comments section spring to mind.

Warnings remain entirely private between the moderators and the person receiving that warning.

As such, you would have no idea whether the person calling you a name received a warning, in the same way, no one else would have visibility of any warnings issued to you.
True for warnings, but when I get a 30 day ban for "answering back" to people who called me scum and a moron and they continue posting I know things are not on the level as well as a moderator being active in the thread. Especially when I do a search on said term and other people are using it.

Labour got a large seat majority but lowest percentage of electorate in about 80 years. Many people take a vote the imbeciles out philosophy regardless of political stripe.

I don't think I am misled when i can post here and have it challenged. I have got a couple of things wrong but admit it. I don't see much humility etc in a lot of others.

I have had a short ban before that I felt was unjust, the stated reason being that I had wished an early death upon someone over a difference of political opinion.
The context, the other poster had responded to concerns that some people may die because of drug shortages or drugs coming to market later, because of Brexit, with a so what, we all die eventually type response. I replied that I hoped he was one of those affected if it happened.
I thanked the mod that issued the ban, explained why I thought he was wrong, and had a short break.
Get over it, it isn't a huge injustice, it's a difference of opinion, and we are all guests here.

But if you look at the percentage of votes, a small percentage voted reform, but you claim the country skew right. Can you see that is incorrect?

Do you accept that there are large crowds going to see Kamala? There's video evidence of it. If you think you've found a fake video, please post it (with the source that claims its real). Its just odd that Trump cares so much.

I don't see much humility etc in a lot of others.
Yeah, this all can be a bit tribal. American politics has gone that way and ours is on danger of doing the same. Trump is not discussing policies, he's just insulting the opposition. He repeats the same slurs he used against Biden against Harris. He claimed to know her ex and claimed he said Harris was a bad person. This turned out to be a lie. So yes, humanity does seem to suffer.

There lies the potential problem. A well run alternative would soon drain this place as it is atm.
Ah, the age old fascist attitude. If something exists that challenges your world view , destroy it.

Why don’t you get all your stuff and f*** off to start your own forum?

You can poach all the NSM members that enjoy weird, racist memes and laughing at people in tragic circumstances.

See how that works out for you.

You really are deluded.

Not deluded - it's deliberate.

It's not really for me to say, as I've not been round this way much lately, driven out by Covidiots.

But, I think you might just be on the wrong forums!
