Runs in the 4.10 at Goodwood tomorrow. Don’t know who owns him but my main interest is that I am constantly referred to as that ‘Brighton Boy’ ; of which I am very proud, naturally.

Hope for a big win!

Brighton Boy has now drifted out like a barge to 9/2! o_O

The Oisin Murphy booking is a good thing and the last three runs have resulted in a couple of wins. However, being drawn in the widest stall is a huge concern after a poor run at Salisbury.

Probably worth a Jeff Kenna and I'll buy TTF a drink if it wins!

Brighton Boy was a very good second to the Super Sprint winner 'Caburn' in his penultimate run and then thrashed moderate opposition at Chester last time. I wouldn't worry about the stall 16 draw as he should have time to drop in behind and get a position. Will Hill have him at 9-2 and he is 4.6-1 on Betfair. Worth hanging on to see if he hits 5-1. and then have a wee bet e/w (1/5th the odds a place first five so you can cover your bet if he comes in 2nd,3rd,4th ior 5th). Top top jockey on board and stable is really hot at the moment.

Fingers crossed

Amongst the horses he totally destroyed at Chester was The Flying Seagull (owned by some of the players). He looked really good that day.

Brighton Boy is owned by local author and conservationist Michael Blencowe.

Todays race is a step up in class (from stakes race £7K to the winner to a class 2 handicap worth over £30K to winner). The Chester race was on good to soft with good to firm / firm predicted for todays race. That might account for the market drift despite Murphy's booking.
