Convicted or not (No, he hasn't been as you seem DESPARATE for someone to say it!) he comes with baggage. There are LOADS of footballers who are essentially wrong'uns – but haven't been convicted of anything – that I wouldn't want anywhere near the club. For me, he fails the 'no dickheads' test.

I never suggested he was a victim. I suggested he needs help. I think given what we do know, that's entirely reasonable.
