Best studio moment. For me.
Yup, my fave JD track - brilliantly brooding melody and absolutely harrowing lyrics, especially when you know what Ian Curtis did afterwards; almost too painful to listen to.

Me too, it’s so plaintive.Yup, my fave JD track - brilliantly brooding melody and absolutely harrowing lyrics, especially when you know what Ian Curtis did afterwards; almost too painful to listen to.
I do not know which one that is, looks like its from a mobile phone, however their are lots, I use https://www.setlist.fmVery impressive (I saw Crass in Brighton in 1980) - what is the site which lists these gigs?
Happy to be cast adrift in a burning funeral boat to the sound of this. It's to the sad news and the bad news that we lean in closer, to quote 'The Bell Hollow' (look 'em up).
I've walked with water, danced with fire, can't seem to take it anymore.
And then he was gone.
The whole trach is magnificent. To Hooky's bass and the drum at the end.
Best studio moment. For me.
You know nothing about music if that is what you thinkWhat a great song 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' really is. One of the best intros ever? Quite possibly. But, and let's be honest here, what a load of complete and utter shite Joy Division were apart from 'Love Will Tear Us Apart'.
The app is Concert Archives, really good for keeping a record of gigs if you’re into that kind of thing.Very impressive (I saw Crass in Brighton in 1980) - what is the site which lists these gigs?
Great, thanks for this - I've been to 100s of gigs over the decades, so it would nice to 'catalogue' the ones I can remember, and compile a record.https://www.concertarchives.org/

Setlist is another good site and they are linked now, so if you input a gig, Setlist will upload the Setlist to that gig.
You can upload photos and videos from the gig.
The Crass gig was a bit naughty, invaded by skinheads giving all the punks a slap. Luckily I was only a whppersnapper at the time so managed to dodge the bullets.

I used to collect ticket stubs but that’s gone down the pan now with e- tickets/ barcodes so looked at alternative and thought this app was great. The app is Concert Archives, really good for keeping a record of gigs if you’re into that kind of thing.

One of my lasting regrets is that Buzzcocks tour (1980?) - went to see them at London Lyceum, but decided to give the 'unknown' support a miss and go to the bar instead
Oh OK, but for the avoidance of doubt "acoustic" is unamplified music; JD had amplified guitar, bass and keyboard.I meant a traditional drums, bass and guitar sound, guitars amplified by the use of electricity.

My favourite live track. Turn it up, it is ferocious:
I knew what you meant. They refer to side one of Brotherhood as 'acoustic' and side two as 'electronic'.Morris/Gillian referred per se to all their Joy Division and non synth New Order music as “acoustic”.
Amazing venue and location as well!We went to see Peter Hook & The Light at the De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill last night. They were amazing, almost three hours of great songs, Hooky still has ‘it’ in bucketloads.

I’ve seen New Order, I think it was with Hooky in 2005 (memory is sketchy), but not Hooky on his own. I’d certainly go if he came to Berlin. just checked dates and nothing showing. In your many gigs, have you seen them yet? Second time for me, it seemed even better. Interesting to see a wide demographic with people in their 30’s, the legend continues.
