If you're going to take that seriously, you may as well Crodo and eNrEsT at face value too.

Just a parody account as far as I'm aware
Very certainly not. Don't forget that the bell curve has, at each end, individuals that are more than two standard deviations from the mean.

Edit: and I think Dwayne is alright, if somewhat wide of the mark on occasion.

No point blaming the club on this one. He’d had championship loans; did nothing. First team opportunities, did nothing. The odds were certainly weighing on the side of not being good enough and end up in the lower leagues. He turned that around at Coventry and I’m of the opinion you just have to say fair play to the lad for making a very good career for himself after not making it with us.

Ostigard, however, I do blame the club (mainly Potter though) for a little.

He had a very solid championship loan, similar to JPVH and should have been promoted to the first team and getting regular minutes. I think he would have been fantastic for us, especially now under RDZ

At that time though, he would never have broken into the first team. If you think that we had Webster and Dunk as a settled CB pairing. Colwill took a Webster injury to bed himself in, as has JPVH. I don't blame the club or Potter there. Ostigard has only played 19 times in the league for Napoli since summer 2022, not sure why anyone is saying we were wrong to sell him. JPVH has proven himself in the PL. Ands Ostigaard hasn't really made a CB position his own in a slower league, even after Napoli sold their best CB in the summer. I think, and I'm trying to be positive, we made the right decision in picking JPVH over Leo. We would never have kept both .

We get more right than wrong, I think the club can be afforded the odd lapse.
There's plenty more to come as well.
This situation is the inevitable byproduct of Mr Bloom's dream.

A prospect 'getting away' is just another one of the many things we, as fans of a big club, have to get used too.

There’s no way Ostigard would have played regularly under RDZ. Good aggressive defender, but not nearly comfortable enough on the ball.

And he didn’t ‘get away’. We sold him for about £10m. He’s in our top ten sales of all time.

He had a good loan at Coventry, but Stoke decided he wasn't good enough for them and after initially playing him regularly they dropped him and he returned to us because he wasn't getting regular football. He was very determined to play every match (and apparently tried to insist on doing so!) which he wasn't going to do at Brighton in January 2022, so he went on loan again, this time to Genoa, where he did well. He then moved to a bigger club (Napoli) where he is a reserve CB - wonder how satisfied he is with that?
A big hard tough tackling defender he certainly is - but whether his ball playing skills would suit him in de Zerbi ball is, at the very least, questionable. If we got £10M for him (although Transfermarkt thinks we got less than half that) it looks like we made the right decisions.

Er... Are you sure about that? Given that we'd signed Maupay (whose Championship record was miles better) the summer before, and Welbeck in 2020, only played one up top and promoted Ferguson to the first team, bringing in a player with a record of 4 goals in 31 wouldn't have guaranteed him any minutes here at all. There's certainly nothing in his performances to say that he was ready for the PL.

Coventry paid £1m for his potential and he went there for game time. He wouldn't get game time here, and so his potential would have suffered. He's the one that got away, sure, but lets not pretend that he'd has a good season with Coventry when he was basically the same as Sam Vokes when he came to us back in 2012.

Why are you outlining Gyokeres career and quoting his stats in an answer to a post about Leo Ostigard?

"Ostigard, however, I do blame the club (mainly Potter though) for a little.
He had a very solid championship loan.....
...."

'He' in that context is obviously Ostigard.

Probably because I misread your quote

Tricky one, no real way to prove it either way, we will never know what could have been.

I just think now if we were rumoured to be signing a 24 year old Napoli CB and Norwegian international now we’d all be very excited. And maybe his technical ability wasnt up to scratch. But I certainly got the impression he had a very good mentality and the ‘balls’ that RDZ wants in his players
