Would we be allowed to open a Casino at Falmer....?

Quick question above. I know a hotel is out of the question but are there other potential revenue streams for bloom and the board to investigate when Falmer is built? just what are we allowed or more precisely not allowed to do there?

Maybe an illegal one.

I would imagine it is an easy bet as to who will operate the betting concession at Falmer though.

no chance without a new planning application for change of use for part of the stadium to a casino or for a new casino.

We would then have to prove why building a casino outside of the city centre would be preferential which would be nigh on impossible.

Maybe just a giant roulette wheel in the centre of the pitch to liven up kick-offs?

The one thing we DO know about Tony Bloom is that the betting company he ran went tits up soon after he pulled out.

Yes that is the ONE thing we know.

Don't bother to mention that he has also run businesses so successfully that he can now save our club, make Falmer happen and quite frankly make the hard work that you LB and many others have put in completely worthwhile.

Of course a casino could be part of Falookaville.

It could be part of the teaching programmes for those who have trouble with number work, and would therefore qualify for grants from the Skills Funding Agency and become a part of the Albion's fine Community work.

I hope he resurrects the alleged hotel plan, in fact I'd fecking love it if we could wangle planning permission as soon as the stadium was finished. I mean there's a football stadium gonna be ruining the view anyway

It would be helpful if we had some idea of what businesses he has run.

Mr Google is remarkably silent on that matter.

He's run a hedge fund. Don't really see why you constantly feel the need to have a sly dig at any given opportunity, he's just done a very generous thing for the club. Why not back him?

I moved here 5 years ago-live on the leas Clifton gardens. Have you been back recently?

Not been back for years. I hear it is a bit of a dump these days. Though it was never a great place to live.
