have a feeling they will be on such a high from yesterday that they will be living on pure addrenalin for rest of the season - plus confidence will have gone up a bit more!!!

they do get a bit of a longer "pre season" that footballers though

Chris Adams plays Sheffield Shield level in Canberra, I think. Some of the others play grade cricket or coach overseas.

Isn't James Kirtley the national coach of Namibia, or something?

That schedule?

Does it include half the time sitting in a pavilion playing cards, more if it rains?

Does it include early finishes when lesser teams subside.

Is it truly hard work, ambling about a cricket field with six men and a ferret watching, the crowd outnumbered by groundstaff not to mention the players?

Has this only been raised in the euphoria surrounding Sussex leathering some northern team?

Was it good to see those SKINT shirts in the crowd?

That schedule?

Does it include half the time sitting in a pavilion playing cards, more if it rains? Obviously - also time away from the family, time spent on the road.

Does it include early finishes when lesser teams subside. As opposed to a 90 minute football match?

Is it truly hard work, ambling about a cricket field with six men and a ferret watching, the crowd outnumbered by groundstaff not to mention the players? If you have played a proper game of cricket that involves nearly 7 hours of play per day, then you would know.

Has this only been raised in the euphoria surrounding Sussex leathering some northern team?No - Many players have spoken out about the schedule, but they get on with iy. Plus they do not get paid £50k a week

Was it good to see those SKINT shirts in the crowd? It is up to whoever wants to wear them. I personally opted for a Sussex shirt, but whatever takes your fancy
