Apparently Savage is up front with Forster, which is good as I think he deserves a chance, and Fraser in central midfield with Hammond.

Woking 0 Albion 1 Tommy Elphick was on target as Albion took a 1-0 half-time lead in tonight's friendly at Woking. Elphick, having gone forward for a corner, headed home in the 13th minute from a cleverly improvised cross by Dean Cox. Cox was lively in central midfield as Albion enjoyed the better of the first half. Bas Savage was given a chance to show what he can do alongside summer signing Nicky Forster in the Albion front line. Savage, the Seagulls' goal-scoring sensation of last spring, started the pre-season friendly away to Conference outfit Woking. Youngsters Elphick and Tommy Fraser were also named in the starting line-up. Among those players hoping to get time coming off the bench was goalkeeper Danny Gay, continuing his trial spell. Albion have one friendly remaining after tonight, at League Two club Chester City on Saturday. Albion: Kuipers, Whing, Mayo, Cox, Elphick, Butters, Fraser, Robinson, Forster, Savage, Hammond. Subs: Gay, Lynch, Rents, Revell

worryingly, with a few exceptions, that is the team that could well be lining up at crewe

play-offs anyone?!

and the fact our goal was scored by someone who in liklehood won't be playing against crewe is even more concerning
