Will England win the World Cup in our lifetime?

By which I mean: will we win this tournament in the time we are all living in - ie: the next 70 years or so. (I should make clear here that I mean WIN rather than QUALIFY; something the Welsh, Scots or Irish would regard as on a par as winning the thing )

Will we ever win it? I'd like to think so, but I doubt it.

I said no before the tournament and got criticised, I don't think the English mentality fits in with western 'winning' culture

asides which football requires skill and intelligence, we only seem to ba able to create one or the other, not both

Shouldn't you have asked whether England will win the WC in the next 50 years or something?

Im not sure. I'd like t think so, by every time we fail I doubt it more and more. We may win the Euros though.
