Sir Bobby C.
An absolute legend and a gentleman. And I saw him play against the Albion at the Goldstone in a 4-0 win for Preston!

I struggled to chose between Robson and Charlton - I went with Robson in the end, 'cos he got us to a world-cup semi.

Got to be Bobby Robson for me, if only for this exchange I read about once at the England team hotel during the 86' World Cup:

Bryan: "Morning boss"
Bobby: "Morning Bobby"
Bryan: "No boss, I'm Bryan, YOU'RE Bobby"

Shola Ameobi being grilled about nicknames:

Q: You must have a nickname from the squad? No? What about Bobby Robson, what does he call you?

A: Carl Cort.

Bobby Robson by a country mile. Bobby Charlton was a fantastic player, but a complete miserable sod off the park.

I believe Bobby C is/was HENPECKED by his wife.

Some say he never fully recovered from the trauma of the Munich crash.
Thats probably more likely.

Hurst has NO EXCUSE though. He gets to dine off one match for the rest of his life, you'd think the least he could do is look happy for once, instead of walking round with a face like a smacked arse all the time.
