Who Do I Shrink The Size of an Animated Gif to make an Avatar?

I have made one I want to use as my avatar, and it is within the dimensions criteria, but when I link it, it says "remote file is too large"

I cant see how big it is, but it needs to be under 14.6kb according to the guidelines

Right clicking on it and looking at properties suggests its over 70kb so its still way to big

Wash it at 60°C.

But don't put any coloureds in with it otherwise it'll turn pink.

Not sure, I guess, but making the shots further apart in time, maybe one every 2 months or so, instead of this one which is one from everyday since the webcame has been live

Oh, and forgot to add. You won't be able to. I've just tried and got it down to 15kb and the quality is utter shite.

Couple of obvious things: fewer frames and higher compression on each individual one.

To make it less than the sum of the individual frames, you need to sequence them so there are fewer differences between each frame.

Realistically though, you're going to have a hard time getting a sequence of photographs into 14K and ending up with something that looks any good.

On that subject - anyone ever put a crisp packet in an oven for a few minutes?
Result = 1/100th scale version of same packet.
Great for doll's house miniatures, and adverts in a train-set landscape - and ends up looking similar to this :braders:
