Which film should I watch later this week?

I rate shyalamans films highly but quite like the idea of watching an Asimov adaption.

The Village lloks well good, really scary like and supposedly has the best debut role from an actress for a long time. I-Robot, on the other hand, is said to be shit.

Well, I don't rate Shyalaman at all, so I'm not bothering.

As for I, Robot - it's only an Asimov adaptation in name. I've read the precis and it appears to not only deviate in the plot details (which one expects) but to deviate enormously from the central principles of Asimov's story.

However, La Haine is getting a tenth anniversary re-issue this week, and that film is f***ing amazing. I've only twice sat in a cinema at the end of a film with the entire audience utterly silent and apparently unwilling to get off their seats - and both times it was La Haine that was showing. Even if you've seen it before, go and see it again.

The writer/critic Joe Queenan is starting a campaign to ensure that the rumour that Vin Diesel will be playing Hannibal in a forthcoming Hollywood blockbuster comes true, because he is desperate for the worst film ever to be made during his lifetime. He wants us all to go to see the Chronicles of Riddick to ensure it is a hit so that the studio keeps him on for the project.

Both are pretty arse, and IR has NOTHING to do with Asimov, it´s just your usual Will Smith project, OK, visually impressive, little more. Village is also a let-down, but at least it´s interesting

Not sur eif its out yet but the new Tom Cruise movie Collateral is excellent.

I saw the Village last night, biggest load of wank I have seen in ages. The only decent and unpredictable thing about it is the twist at the end, other than that don't waste your money. I Robot mate, for sure.
