What's your most over-rated food?

Now that we are all supposed to be foodies, what food do you think is over-rated?

I have a few nominations:

Caviar
Parma Ham
Avocado
Shellfish
Sun dried tomatoes

Not many people have heard of this, but in Hull they put it all over your chips and its horrible, but everyone seems to rave about it:

You have just listed 4 items of my most favourite food (you can ditch the caviar though!) .....

All vegetarian food is over-rated IMHO

Anchovies? but they are not green

Maybe Capers? but they are seeds

KFC etc isnt even food really so It cant be rated or slated

I have to say we made Venison Bourginoign (sp?) yesterday, as opposed to using beef . . . . .fecking fantastic it was, with some organic veg from the farmers market and a bottle of Claret

Maybe Dave's anchovies are green because they are about 6 months out of date, that's why they taste horrible.

I LOVE OLIVES

chips and gravy is peasant fodder . . . .I wouldnt feed it to the birds in the garden . . . . .they wouldnt be able to take off for a start

they are salty rubbish. If you want salt then surely you put salt on your pizza

BTW anyone tried the spinach and ricotta pizza from "best of " range at sainsburys? I dont eat takaway pizzas as they are almost 50% fat but this is superb at 7.5% fat
