What's the LONGEST you've ever had a BATTERY last for?

I've got a set of two double A batteries in my stereo remote control that came in the box at the time of purchase.

7 (Seven) years and 12 days ago!

They are STILL WORKING!

The remote has seen a lot of use (proper and inproper) over that time and I'm getting to feel I should get on to the people at Guinness about them adding this to their Xmas annual.

Are these some kind of super batteries (made by SONY)? Or is this feat quite ordinary?

Interesting.

Is it solar or battery powered?

Get added life from your Nokia phone battery pressing the keys *3370# Your phone will restart with this
reserve and the phone will show a 50% increase in battery. This
reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time.

16 years. A toy I bought in America in 1990 is still working with the original batteries.

My arse.

There is no "reserve" on Nokia batteries, and the highest "reserve" any phones have is enough for five minutes, which is brought in if you dial 112 during the startup procedure on a flat battery - and Nokia's don't have this.

working in the crapphone whorehouse does teach you some things ;)
