Good or naff, embarrassng or cool on the radio, the record player or the TV.

Come on - own up. I'll start...

Clair - Gilbert O'Sullivan (1972)

I certainly remember that. Can't remember the first I heard, but the first single I owned was The Laughing Gnome by Bowie - given to me for my birthday. The first album I bought was Dark Side of the Moon - and I would have been 10.

Bloody hell, TLO, that makes you VERY young.

Mine was Davy Crockett in the mid-fifties - that makes me VERY old!

The theme song to the 1960 Casino Royale by Herb Alpert. Still like it today!

Can't say for sure, but probably the theme song to "Sing Something Simple" by the Cliff Adams Singers, circa 65-66 - because it seemed to be on my parent's radio ALL THE F**KING TIME during my early childhood.

I'm still traumatised by it.

Alternatively it would have been something off Beatles for Sale, as I remember that being the only halfway decent record in my dad's collection.
