For me there's a shitoad. Over a period of more years than was SANE, used to go see bands six nights a week. Oh, and Sunday lunchtimes also. But the ones that keep on keeping on, the ones that made me feel most ALIVE are:

The Clash (Victoria Park/Canterbury Odeon/Brighton Centre)

Oasis (Earls Court/Brighton Centre/Brisbane Entertainment Centre)

New Order (Brighton Art College Basement/Brixton Academy)

U2 - Fresh off the boat, at the Marquee Club, Wardour Street

And suppose should give a special mention for Led Zeppelin at the 02 Arena - which to be fair I (or anybody else) never ever expected to see

WELL? ???

Like THPP, seen plenty over the years.
But, owing to his untimely death six weeks ago, I consider myself VERY fortunate that I caught Michael Campbell AKA Mikey Dread live.

RAR I presume? Me too; also saw the Clash at Cardiff in 1977 with Richard Hell and on at least 2 other occasions.

John Cale in Croydon in early 1977 when he cut the head off a dead chicken and threw both bits into the audience, causing the break - up of his backing band in disgust!!

The Ramones supported by Talking Heads

Todd Rundgren

George Melly

Bobby Womack

Way out west
The Clash City Rockers at Henfield village hall, good live gig, first time they tried to play all the power went off...had to keep turning off amps until the lights stayed on, ended up an almost acoustic set...far more entertaining and memorable than just about any gig I have been to. Later saw them at the Inn on the Prom in Worthing, the line up of the band had changed and they were nowhere near as good.
