What was the best blockbuster of 2008 ?. Its been a mixed year. There will be a seperate thread as to what was the best film of 2008 where you can include subtitled films from Afghanistan about a man who tends to his goat farm whilst bringing up his children against the backdrop of the war in Black & White and the like for the purists like Nibble and Les.

It is a pretty poor list this year.

The Dark Knight - Very good, worth watching for Ledger alone 8.2
Indiana Jones 4 - I know a lot of people rubbished it but a lot of people loved it as well, I liked it for what it was 8.0
Kung Fu Panda - this was pretty average imo apart from the excellent look of the film 6.1
Iron Man - pretty good but had a lot of flaws 7.4
Mamma Mia - good wholesome fun and Abba songs are great 7.6
Quantum of Solace- much better than the reviews would suggest 8.1
Wall E - I enjoyed it 7.8
Narnia 2 - POC - again pretty good overall 7.6
Sex & the City - do me a favour
The Mummy 3 - sorry to be boring but a good fun film and better than the reviws 7.5

HSM3 and Madagascar 2 were both a bit disappointing, IMO, although I realise I'm not exactly the target audience.

Kung Fu Panda was complete shite.

Apart from Wall E, the only other film I saw on that list was BOND which I thought was also pretty good and a close second to Wall E.

Dark Knight was easily the best of that lot. IronMan second. Indiana Jones was poor, and they're the only three I've seen - apart from Kung Fu Panda, but that was on a plane so doesn't count

I agree Nibble I thought it was excellent. In my opinion even better than Casino Royale so I am dumbfounded as to the negative reviews.
