It's all due to the English Channel. It's stays relatively warm due to the Gulf Stream, as you were probably taught at school. That's if you attended of course.

but Brighton is along side the same channel. this is down to where the weather fronts are and probably the downs. no idea how, its bit bonkers to see it snowing then 10 miles down the road raining.
