This follows Stat Brother's thread in which he asked what he could represent England at.

I played football for Balfour Juniors, and cricket for Varndean school and the Newcastle University staff XI. And I've never even worked for Newcastle University.

You must be able to do better than me.

Abort, retry, fail
Cricket for Oxford Brookes 1st XI* - We reached the quarters of the BUSA nationals and got thumped by Loughbrough :(

I played for a Sussex team when I was about 10 and thought I had been selected to play. However, it was only recently that I found out my parents paid for the coaching and we were selected from that.

Rugby for my school 1stXV and I got sin binned for a charge tackle on the England Schoolboy(?) fly half.

* The real 1stXI was a combined team with Oxford Uni, so it was effectively the 2nds.

Football: Balfour Juniors 6-a-side C team (goalie).
Swiming: Dorothy Stringer (once) - though actually I'd say the annual cub and scout swimming galas were more competitive (7th Brighton).
Cricket: Dorothy Stringer (once)
Javelin: Dorothy Stringer (once)

I think I'd label myself as semi-pro athelete as I'm sure you'd agree...

Football u16's for Sussex. Then picked up niggly knee injury bringing to an end the glittering career that lay ahead of me.

Still, work for Asda now so its not all bad!

International ice hockey for the UK versus Germany in 1997, as far as I recollect we lost 9-5, it was a bloody good game and we gave them a run for their money.

This isn't quite as it seems though, we were all ex-pats living in Canada and though the teams were almost exclusively of Brits and Germans (with the odd Canadian thrown in for good measure) most of us were pretty amateur in our approach to the game and just played for fun.

I have also played normal hockey at club level.
