A few days ago we were talking about relegation. I hope Warwickshire don't win the County Championship, even if that means Surrey do. My boss is a Warwickshire supporter and I couldn't stand his gloating

No, I don't think we'll win either. If we win this game, we'd have quite a good chance of winning the league but Warks batting is too strong.

We need to break this stand soon as it is becoming dangerous. Could still win promotion in the National League. Being in both top divisions next year would be a boost and a good start would put us in contention especially with Lancashire looking likely to go down.

Lancashire and Yorkshire playing each other in the bottom division. That would have seemed unlikely a few years ago.
