Will never tire at watching that run and shot against Derby, if only it had gone in!!
Vicente is pure class and the signs are looking good for next season with players of the quality of Kuszcak (if he signs) coming in!
When we were watching the England games over the last couple of weeks, I thought that there was nobody playing that came anywhere close to Vicente as far as skill goes.
He really is a world class player and hopefully he's still ours.
I've said pretty much all year that I think Vicente will stay. He's not like most other footballers, he can see this club has been good for him- and by that, I don't mean money, or even recognition and renown: I think it's been a good move for him as a person. I'd certainly bet that he's happier than at any time since his first flush of fame at Valencia, he's the sort of guy who needs to be appreciated (and with skills like that, rightly so). He was an absolute hero at Valencia (before things started going wrong) and he's a hero at Brighton. I think he likes it that way.
He could be the difference between us getting in to the prem or not ! He has magic feet and must love the way the club has revived his career. He owes us at least another season.
That video is excellent!!
Look at Vicente's feet while he dribbles, he runs quicker with the ball than without it! I was sitting in the WSL(North end) against Derby and my most vivid memory of that shot was the noise it made when it hit the bar and the ole, ole, ole as he walked off.
To watch him in full flow at the end of last season was a joy to behold, I'm praying that he will stay next year but if he doesn't, he owes us nothing and I wish him well wherever he goes......only please don't go to another championship club!
I know it's stating the obvious but bloody hell, he is good isn't he! Would love to get a screen saver of the moment at 4:02 Derby decide to put 5 men on him.
Great montage here by Richyseagull.
