VHS Videos and CDs

So what have you done with them? Do you still use your videos and CDs?

We haven't been using our videos and were toying with burning them all onto DVD and ditching the VCR. Instead, I've built the VCR and videos into a shelving unit because I've got better things to spend hundreds of pounds on than transferring my videos to other media.

As for CDs, I still prefer to actually BUY CDs than simply download the music although I do both.

I have boxes of bloody videos in the loft, I don't actually own a VHS player anymore so they are kind of useless.

I ditched my VCR a couple of years ago and threw out the tapes. Nothing worth keeping particularly.

I too like to own CDs. Of the 250 albums on my MP3, I think I own disks for all of them.

Remember to check through old videos, records etc before you bin them.

(Or sell them for about 40p without realising it's worth, oh, say £10,000. Or more...

I own in excess of of 400 CDs as it's nice to have the CD in a good shelving unit. Just having the media on a HDD is pointless, and dangerous if you lose that HDD without a good backup device.

I'm in the process of torrenting all the good films on to DVD and copying the stuff I can't find from VHS onto DVD, its gonna take a while but its more than worth it !!!
