Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this game? Do we want Liverpool to get hammered so confidence is low when they play us, or would that mean we get the backlash? On the other hand if they hammer United would that mean that they may be over confident when they play us and underestimate us? Any sports pyschologists? Calde?!

I'm hoping for a few red cards for the Liverpool bunch too

United destroying Liverpool would be best for us as their morale could be low next week which could mean shitty performances by them, but it could spur the team on to get the win next week.

Gerrard and/or Bellamy picking up red cards or injuries would be handy. The less fight in their side next week the better.

Absolutely this. And maybe a Saurez / Evra punch up resulting in a red :)

I reckon El Abd could do a good enough job of putting Suarez off his game, to be honest. Plus, it's something I'd love to see.

Scouting Report for Liverpool

I expect Liverpool to win against Man United. I can't see them playing both Kuyt/Downing and Bellamy though (like they did against Spurs). Will Gerrard play? Will Scholes play? Is there a live feed? Where?

PS: Wrong again Kuyt and Downing are both playing (this is like Albion playing Buckley and Kazenga)
BBC Sport - Manchester United v Liverpool

This is the first chocie Liverpool team, although I would have expected Adam instead of Kuyt.

I see Suarez refused to shake Evra's home prior to the game.

Liverpool stuffing Utd then we won't face a possible backlash.

Good start with Suarez refusing to shake Evra's hand.

Hopefully a decent old style spicey game
