Un-wanted pop up things...HELP

Ive just got my Broadband installed from Wanadoo,but im struggling with it thanks to my LACK of computer knowledge.

I keep getting "Porno Pop-ups" all the time.A new one apperas every few seconds.When i click on the red "X" to close it,another one pops up.

Its driving me mad...anyone know how i can stop them

In VERY simple terms please coz i realy know NOTHING about computers.

Perhaps you should stop visiting porno sites then you would get no pop-ups

Its also using a sledgehammer to crack an extremely small peanut. Whereas either one of using Firefox or cleaning the machine of spyware is just using a nut cracker to do so.

Go to Control Panel > Dial Up Connections > right-click the broadband connection > activate the firewall.

That's strange! I get a pop-up when I visit porn sites too.

Gets rid off most unwanted spyware and adware. You'll be amazed how much unwanted crap is lurking in your computer.

Without wishing to piss on MYOB's always spectacular techie fireworks, could you not just turn on the integral pop-up blocker that comes with Wannadoo??
