As we are approaching colder times, what is the ultimate comfort food to warm your cockles!! ;)

Am thinking along the lines of mash, beans and cheese!! mmmmm

Mash with just about every meal once we get past October!

How about Shepherd's Pie, with mushy peas, pickled red cabbage and a bit of brown sauce... mmmm....

Fish finger sandwiches are the bollocks, with tartare sauce or a bit of mayo.

Or, the best, are my Mum's homemade Cornish pasties with baked beans, and you mash up the beans with the pasty filling and it's just bloody luvverlly. Don't get them anymore though.

:(

What a great pre-lunch thread, I'm starving now.

If we're talking comfort food snacking, then you can't really beat a couple of slices of really thick toast (like Hovis Extra Thick) with shedloads of butter and a bit of Marmite.

With a nice sugary cup of tea.

And Hollyoaks. Which is like "comfort TV" innit?
