[Politics] Ukraine invades Russia!

Surely this deserves its own thread now.
Latest is Ukraine are 30km inside Russian territory and taking hostages. As a man of peace this would normally upset me but I feel that Ukraine had to try something different or risk a slow bleed of troops.
My one concern for them is that it is normal for the human attrition to be 3 times greater from the attacking side, as evidenced by Russian losses (unconfirmed) compared to Ukrainian on home soil.

Would Putin be mad enough to drop bombs on his home country to eliminate the threat?

It all just sounds like something out of Call of Duty or Clash of Clans. How this happens in the 21st century is baffling, why can’t we all just enjoy life.

This indeed. It baffles me how folk forget that there are real lives involved here.
