This thread is designed to help you GET to Millwall.

Saturday 22nd September.

1) Get out of bed. This is an important step in GETTING to Millwall.
2) Get dressed (optional)
3) Open your front door.
4) Go outside.
5) Go to nearest train station ask the man for a return to South Bermondsey.
6) Follow instructions on ticket. (Hint go to London Bridge first)

How to get to Market Porter from London Bridge Station.

1) Turn RIGHT outside main entrance of London Bridge station.
2) Proceed along London Bridge Walk and through underpass make a gentle left turn past parade of shops.
3) Turn left at Southwark Catherdral then right into Stoney Street.

There is an alternative route to Market Porter which involves walking due West outside London Bridge Station, however this is cumbersome and busy.

If drving to Millwall enter SE16 3LN into your SatNav.

For parking look for signs marked PARKING or more importantly NO PARKING.

You should be fine.

What time should i leave?

Where do you live? If Brighton, Saturday about 11:am. If Hove, Saturday about 11:15am

Anywhere else in Sussex, Saturday about 9:30 am

Anywhere outside Sussex - Thursday!

Genuine Q - Is the Porter the preferred away pub or just one of many random pubs outside LB station?

You will get a lot of away fans in there but there are loads of decent pubs around London Bridge.

It appears to be. However it may be prudent NOT to wander into say, the Jolly Gardeners in Rotherhithe New Road and ask ''I say old chaps are we near the stadium and do you serve Harvey's? What.

Especially in Albion gear.

This may lead you to
1) Dailling 999
2) Confirming your number
3) Asking for an Ambulance , you may be given the option of the Fire Service or Coast Guard, but go for Ambulance.
4) Ask the Paramedic to take you to Guys A&E.
5) Tell landlord you'll pay for any damage.

A simple Yes or No would have done, but thanks for tipping me off!

I beleive Malcolm is doing a Guest Karoke/DJ lunchtime spot in the Ancient Forresters.

Ask anyone in there if Malcolm from Fiveways Village is around.

Arrive before 2:15pm though, he probably have expired by then.

Not any more.

For the first time in my life, they seem to have finished the building works / bus station re-construction outside London Bridge Station. It's suddenly uncluttered and easy to walk around.

Unless, of course, they have started again, since the Olympics finished.

Does not Lord B have a more scenic route via East Croydon and the trams?
Since you ask, yes.

Brighton - East Croydon, via Southern Rail
East Croydon - West Croydon, via Tramlink
West Croydon - Canada Water, via London Overground
From Canada Water station, walk towards Lower Road (past my grandmother's old flat), turn left, then first right into Gomm Road. Then walk across Southwark Park to Hawkstone Road, then Rotherhithe New Road, Silwood Street and Bolina Road.

Or get off the London Overground service at Surrey Quays and get straight into Hawkstone Road. This, however, misses the scenic delights of Southwark Park. And I WAS asked for the scenic route.

That's all very well, but haven't they installed missile launchers on top of all the high buildings in East London?

Anyone who points a missile at my mates will get a clump round the head with a man bag.
