Was thinking about strong transfer rumours in recent years. Tresor Kandol and Jabo Ibehre come to mind among others. Would have made a big difference to our team. Can anyone add to the list of names of potential starts for the Albion?

We matched Reading's offer for Steve Sidwell. Had he come to us he might well have kept us in the Championship and then earnt us a fair few bob in his subsequent transfer to Chelsea.

Never heard us connected with any of those but I do remember Rainer Bonhoff being linked to us and a couple of Peruvians who knocked Scotland out of the 78 World Cup.
The Puruvians trained for a couple of weeks and lived in a club owned house in Honeycroft Hangleton where Peter Ward resided when he first jioned.

I can't help thinking with Winifred Schafer and a fit Bobby Zamora Withdean may have already held Premiership football by now!!!!

Alan Mullery wanted to sign Paul Stewart as a 17year old from Blackpool but Mike Bamber refused saying if he was anygood Liverpool or similar would have signed him. 12 months later Malcolm Allison brought him for £900k for Man City. The rest is now history. He also wanted to sign Peter Reid who went to Everton.
