Spurs were the wrong choice for Bobby. They will probably ruin Defoe as well. Bobby would have been better off at a club like Leicester (if they had the money).

It's a fact that Spurs have spent far more than Arsenal on players over recent years. Look at the difference!!

Not sure if Bobby's good enough for the Premiership anyway, 1st division is probably his level.

Actually the original deal was that Zamora was only going to be loaned to WHU until the end of the season.

But Pardew needed a replacement to appease the WHU fans over the loss of Defoe. Seems to be a win-win deal for all parties (Exept us). And Pardew had already expressed interest in Zamora so Pleat knew exactly what to tempt him with to bring Defoe to White Hart Lane

So perhaps he felt that it was better to be at a club where he was slightly higher that 5th choice striker.

And of course he is a West Ham fan which muist have added to the lure of the move becoming permanent.

And the Spurs fans here at work are convicned that Kannoute will be sold during the next transfer window (which is why Pleat has bought Defoe - same sort of player)

Bobby had 7 starts and 11 sub appearances - he scored 1 goal, against a Div 1 team.

Clearly Keane and Kanoute are one and two in the pecking order, so Bobby was only ever going to be a sub this season.

Spurs gave him a good contract and an opportunity that he didn't take. You could argue that what with Injuries and absences Bobby got more of a chance than he could have expected.

He will score goals in Div 1, I think he will score goals in the Premiership and this will have been valuable experience for him, although it can't be easy being the makeweight in a transfer involving someone the same age and a fellow England Under-21 teammate. The Premiership is harsh, but if you want the megabucks you've got to deliver...
