Tip for Monday

With the Cheltenham festival next week you'll quite often find an Irish winner at the Monday Stratford meeting (they use it to fund their Cheltenham betting). I've had a quick look through the entries published today and found a horse that seems to fit the bill.

The horse is called Imperial Shabra

The 2.40 Stratford Full Race Card - 12 March 2012 | Racing Post

I've had no information about the horse, they may not even declare it, but it looks a likely type. Its down to a winning handicap mark, had a recent run in Ireland which was an improvement on recent form, and was backed from 7/1 into 9/2 last time they entered it at this meeting (two years ago).

Declarations are on Saturday for the race.

Good luck

Should be some prices available about half five this evening seeing as it's a handicap.

Just went E/W as cannot get near a bookies tomorrow

Potentially good news, I'd be running it in the race I thought was weakest.

edit: No declared for the 2-40 (perhaps the trainer also entered the 4-10 but didn't declare).

Only seven runners is a blow, it'll need to be first or second for place money.

OK just a thought, is it worth hedging my bets and also backing it in the 4:10 as well ?
