Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Definitely!

It was only the rise of Sussex and the victory at Lord's that has stopped me from slipping over the edge into manic sport depression.

I am feeling better about everything, even though there is bound to be another obstacle in the way soon.

Long may it last! :clap2:

yes , much more positive. After the Crewe game I was thouroughly cheesed off with all things Albion, I'm now got my enthusiasm back and am looking forward to every game.

I still think the recent upturn in fortunes has merely papered over the cracks but im enjoying it while it lasts

Yes, but only a little.

I'm more interested now that the football is being used on the deck than anything else.

Lets hope its the start of something more positive.
I must admit, I did enjoy the fact that most of the football was played on the floor last weekend. Also, there does appear to be some sort of team spirit in the camp. I'm quite bullish about tonight actually.

MUCH more positive. I had lost all enthusiasm, the McGhee era had brought me down. It was terrific on Saturday. Intelligent, possession football.

The one downer on Saturday was the idiots near me that kept shouting "FORWARD" when we were three nil up and knocking the ball about. Do they not understand that the reason we went three nil up was that we were keeping the ball and working an opening, not just lumping it down the middle????

Part of me actually wanted to go tonight- which is a massive upturn as far as I'm personally concerned.

Yeah, there is much more accountability and back slapping going on.

Also it may not go un-noticed that the coaching and backroom staff were socialising together in the Black Lion (Patcham) on saturday evening, all jovial, and left with smiles on their faces.

Amazing what a little unity can achieve.

Most definitely YES. Even if we lose tonight - and they will lose at some stage - things are looking up and it's a shame some people are determined to knock management, players or fans come what may.

We have a new beginning at this club so we should spend most of the time looking forward and not backwards.

Three games and three very different positive performances - I for one can't remember when I enjoyed 3 games in a row so much and think the future is bright

This is common drivel coming from the mouths of people who have clearly never played the game before. It is also the reason we never come close to winning the World Cup. I was in the family stand and you get a lot of that sort of impatience. I remember in the first half, Santos & El Abd were stroking the ball about waiting for an opening and some people were screaming for them to get it forward! Of course, they maintained possession but worked the ball forward almost to the half way line before one of the best passing moves of the match sliced right through their team. The final ball was shit, but apart from that it was quality football.

Spot on - but we passed the ball even better against the likes of Forest and Brentford, only for defensive frailties to undo us.

Sorry to disagree but certainly against Forest we rarely looked like bieng incisive in the last third although Brentford was better.

On Saturday at times that we were much more threatening in the final third as demonstrated by the last 2 goals and various other attacks.

Yes, also helps that you are playing against the team with the worst defensive record in the league rather than the best. 11 Forest and 10 Orient men could have been a factor too.

Fair point although some of the wing play and inter-passing on Saturday was teriffic and not something seen much (if at all) in previous games. If we had played the same way against Forest I suspect we could well have beaten them.
