It does push the Olympic 'sport' in phrase to the limit. Likewise, from yesterday's horsing around - I think, by definition, a sport shouldn't be in the Olympics if you can win a gold after a hip replacement.

My wife competes in three day eventing at a lower level, which includes all three disciplines, so I know first hand the time, effort and dedication it takes.
We also know Tina Gifford personally and I know how much she has put in just to get herself ready for the games let alone getting her horse there.
Just think your being a tad harsh.
Ps I really enjoyed watching the gay lycra clad cycle mentalists win the golds too !
