My point was that the signing of Currie is amongst the most desperate in the Football League this summer.

PS: Hills did cut your odds for relegation from 3/1 to 7/4 today. I wasn't lying.

LB, we're under no illusions as we know we are in for a hard season, however, over the same three seasons your lot have been flashing the cash we find that we have won two more championship trophies and the same number of years in Division one as a team that believes they are a sleeping giant.

If us getting Darren Currie on a free transfer was "amongst the most desperate in the football league", then how do you describe Ipswich Town paying £250,000 for him just a few months later?

Still, at least Cardiff will be away from the relegation zone soon. I seem to remember Sam promising to "get out his chequebook" if Cardiff were still a relegation fight by January.
