Has anyone read this book,Googled it and on the face i would not normally read a book of this type yet i have been told it is a decent read,any read it and your veiws please.

I've read it and loved it. Make's you realise what a beautiful place Kabul must have been before years and years of war.

Not a bad book at all. I have also read A Thousand Splendid Suns by him and I would say that one is worth a read as well.

book is better than the film by miles... was given it as a present, left it on the bookshelf for ages.. then took the plunge and read it very quickly. quite moving.
