The Greenwich Time Signal pips have gone missing

BBC Radio 4 was unable to broadcast them at 5pm because the box which produces them has packed up, and the back-up system failed to function as well! Fortunately Big Ben heralds the 6pm news, so they've had two hours to get them back before 7pm. Did you know they are also produced on the quarter hour too? (but rarely broadcast).

Interesting, that.

I found 6 pips in an orange I had earlier, but I thought nothing about it before binning 'em.

I think you are confusing this with dreaming; our apparent dreams are actually reality, whereas NSC, football, commerce etc. is just a dream.

Excellent 'find' BTW LB; pity the BBC couldn't find them in time for the 7pm news!
