We have ours delivered, wasn't going to renew this time but the kids told me to do one because they fancy the paperboy :) Renewed last week to the tune of £58 for 6 months, don't even read the poxy thing!

I suppose its what interests you I guess... If you don't have any interest or connection with local news and can wait until the stories appear online, its not worth 65p, if you are interested then its not too bad and about average for daily.

I am intrigued about whats "new" though... hopefully, it'll be renamed "The Argus Albion News"

65p , was a necessary price hike considering where they have moved their HQ to .

I will have to review my current choice of cat litter tray lining.

Toto the cat has always enjoyed shitting on Andy Naylor - but at these prices it could be the Friday Ad in future.

I blame Paul Barber.
Sent from my brain using the power of my fingers

Absolutely so there had better be a breakfast meeting to explain this.

not necessarily The 'I' is brilliant value at 20p

Sorry, I meant local and regional print media as opposed to the nationals.

For the most part local newspaper sales around the country are falling

Just far enough away from LDC
Mystic ROSM is about to make a prediction here.

The argus sales will drop and it will move to (at most), a twice weekly production within 2 years.

The price rise is actually a part of the strategy - at c25k a day at the moment it is slightly too high to justify that change. In the mid 1980s it was just over 100k a day.

The subbing moved to southampton, the experienced news journalists left and were replaced with just qualifieds who dont come with local knowledge, and when they develop it, move on.

All papers are suffering due to internet but the Argus is extreme in the level it has been hit.
