Prawn Thai green curry - awesome , most dishes are spicy and be carefull some dishes are very hot .

Yeah, you can't beat a good green curry - either prawn or chicken. In fact, I could do with one right now.

Tom Yum is gorgeous, it can be a bit hot but in a moreish way. If you add noodles It's more filling and if you add coconut milk it takes the heat out. I make my own Tom Yum and even grow the key ingredient, Thai Basil. Super !

This, you can get some nice Tom Yum soup/sauce bases from most supermarkets also.

Very easy to do at home as well. Generally less ingrediants than Chinese and Indian and readily available. I grow my own Thai basil.

Pla Nueng Manow. Steamed sea bass with lemongrass, lime and chilli.

If you like fish and your food a little bit cheeky, this dish is ridiculous - when I had it in a restaurant in Southampton, it was like the angels had made sweet love in my mouth.

Start off with the obvious stuff which is awesome and you get absolutely everywhere in thailand:

Pad Thai (noodles)
Green curry - rice
Red curry - rice

Thai fish cakes are nice too. Once you have them just pick stuff off the menu, the soups are lovely as are the noodle salads, most meat dishes are very spicy. Massaman curry is a bit milder but an amazing dish. Don't make the mistake of expecting it to be like an Indian curry, that would a bit like comparing football and rugby and expecting them to be the same experience when in reality it's a totally different animal.
