I have spoken to a mate from down under (New Zealand) who know's Chris Wood and spoke to him in the last couple of days and says he is likely to miss the cup game through the injury to his ankle that he picked up against Hartlepool.

So what would the team be without him?

I am guessing:

Brezovan

Calderon Greer Elphick Painter

Sparrow Bridcutt Dicker

Bennett

Barnes Murray

Subs:
Poke
El-Abd
Tarrico
Kishishev
Battipiedi
Holroyd
Sandaza

Will be a big shame should Wood miss out. But better he is not risked if not 100%.

Otherwise think you may have it spot on. With Sparrow and Kish the only two I might swap

can't disagree with that at all, but do hope Wood is back as he's been class the last few games and I bet he'd love to play against a Prem side, to show his
WBA team mates what they are missing

spaz is injured though???

I thought he was back in contention to play? It does make us a little short in CM, with Kish only just back, and AN still out. Shame Noone can't play in a 4-4-2

Why Elphick over El-Abd out of interest?

We have to give fringe players matches, and Elphick has impressed in the cup. IMO El-Abd and Greer are key to our league form and it is a good chance to keep one of them fresh :ascarf:

Well that goes against what he said in the interviews and being back in training and hoping to play on Saturday. (Wood that is)

I'd play DUNK with Greer.

Best in the air of all our centre-halves.
