i hope that most of our squad are fit and that Gus realises yet again that playing Dunk and Greer together does not work.

I think that he needs to make 4 changes to the side

CMS for Harley

Then go 4-4-2 with Barnes and CMS up front assuming that we haven't signed another striker before then.

You posted while I was typing so perhaps the mods will merge the two. I agree with most but would say go 4-4-2 so drop Noone back to wide midfield and also Dickenson on the bench instead of Barker. I think that he is an exciting prospect.

I think the OP has it about right. It's a real pity about Buckley/KLL but you got to think if there's any way they can play a part one or both will

last night opened my eyes a little in that the new striker is much more pressing that I thought. I had believed we had enough for the time being but that look wrong last night. If the rumours are true and it is about wages then the need to pay what is needed, within reason, is required.

What was the point in opening negotiations knowing you could not afford to pay the player what he needed, you must have an indication of what he wants at the outset before spending time working on it?

The Argus says Gus hopes to have CMS fit but will be without the injured Lua Lua and Buckley.

Based on this Argus article it looks like Kazenga should be free to start, so play him over Noone and Noone over Dicker on the bench. If he's not quite 100% put Kazenga on the bench (again for Dicker) and have him replace Noone at maybe 65 minutes.
