I have been toldby an EP insider that tonight will be Jim Gannons last game in charge of Stockport County, set to unveiled as Brighton manager 4pm tomorrow afternoon at the Withdean Stadium.

Initially I wondered the same thing.

Maybe he wanted to be a Gentleman about it and not leave them in the lurch a few hours before a game. I'm sure he will have a nice DVD to watch if he does become our manager.

To be honest, none of us really know what is going on - only time will tell.

Sounds reasonable: a final farewell to the players, and not leaving the club in the lurch for an important match. Then off to the Esso garage, check the oil and tyre pressure for the long drive to Brighton

I haven't seen him in Wolverhampton today yet.

However, given that I haven't got a ruddy clue what Gannon looks like, I may have inadvertently walked past him in the street on the way to work or in my lunch break.
