Take plenty of money and don't buy rounds.

Beautiful city though, take a boat trip round the islands.

A must-see is the Vasa, a big old warship that was stuck at the bottom of Stockholm harbour for centuries and is now completely intact in a massive museum. She makes the Mary Rose look like a heap of firewood.

Hi Jimmy, also have a weekend in Stockholm in March.
Have been recommended the Ice Bar in Nordic Light Hotel.
Apparently very popular so may need to book on internet.
Absolutely everything is made of ice including glasses you drink from.
So cold, though, that you are only allowed 30 minutes in there, else you start to get hypothermia. Sounds great don't it:cool:

Brilliant place, though it's about six years since I last went.

Try and befriend a local - we chatted to one of the tour guides in one of the museums there and he invited us out for a beer with his missus. Ended up showing us some really cool bars and stuff, away from the touristy areas. In particular, I remember a couple of places where EVERYTHING was for sale, including all the crockery, cutlery and furniture. So you like the leather armchair you're sat on, then buy it! Very cool.

Check out the old town (we stayed in an apartment there, beautiful) and go to the zoo on one of the islands, can't remember any names I'm afraid.

Have fun! But take lots of dough.

Zoo and open air museum are on Skansen - short ferry ride from the centre of town.

Absolutely lovely place - somewhere I'd like to go back to.

One of my favourite places on the planet.

Damned expensive though.

My fav city

Yes VASA is amazing

Head towards Gala Stam (old Town) for resturants, one Italian calleed Marco Polo is cheap and good. Stockholm not as expensive as London now, not that Stockholm has got cheaper, just that London is a rip off

Try a brady at the Bar in the Grand Hotel, real nice place.

There is one in London now if you want to save on the air fare.

Went to Stockholm about 2 years ago and had a great time, as others have said there is plenty to see in the city, the old town is pretty good.
We went to the theme park too which was quite good. On the last night we stayed in the Underwater hotel in Vasteras which was awesome, not something i'll forget in a hurry.
