Can someone please just let me know why our 'goal' in the first half was disallowed? Seemed fine to me. Thanks.

people said it was a player, possibly el-abd or jarret blocking another player from getting to the ball. I didnt see much wrong but didnt have a great view, did all seem rather too easy the way elphick headed in with no players close to him!

I thought it was for a push by El Abd.

I didn't see much wrong with it either but they had a similar one disallowed too.

Both goals were correctly ruled out according to the players: Albion's for a push by Jason Jarrett; Hartlepool's for a push on John Sullivan.

The push Jarret made gave Elphick a free header and was somewhat obvious.

The other one was very silly of the 'pool players to infringe as it was a quite brilliant corner directly in.
