NSC it is down to you, to decide what I'll do on Thursday evening. My missus wants me to stay in. My mates from work want me to go out for a meal and then Oceania afterwards. The meal is monthly with the lads from work, but now it looks like it won't happen if my missus, gets her away.

So who should I let down..... up to you NSC!

Haven't you just spent weeks winning her back?

Personally I would never stop my bf going out with his mates. You need time apart, and it's only 1 night after all. I would say go with your mates and don't let her dictate what you do with your time or you'll set a precedent.

It's your life after all. What will you do if she buggers off again and you're left with no mates cos you abandoned them all for her?

Do you see her most evenings? If so why is she stopping you going out it's only one night. Personally I wouldn't mind if my boyfriend wanted to go, you can't dictate what people should do. It's once a month, I say go!

What kind of mates would THEY be then? ???

I abandoned my mates for 25 years living abroad, and another school pal went to Aus 30+ years back. We get together and nothing's changed - safe as houses.

The trick is to set up a going-out situation on a regular basis - make it up, just invent a 'lads night out'. Then, you keep cancelling this non-existent night-out-with-the-lads, telling her she's too special and you'd rather stay in with her.
Even talk on the phone so she can hear you apologising and TELLING your mate how she means so much, and a night in with her is heavenly.

Then, when you tell her about a REAL night out rendezvous, sound reluctant and let her say "oh go on then, it'll do you good to maintain your friendships with your pals". Then you go out and do the town bigstyle, guilt-free.
