Are Forest in debt? Will they be using the cash to buy players or pay off loans?

What are Forest going to do with 8 million in League One?

squander it if past form is anything to go by.

Look at these fees paid for the current set of fantastic players......

David Johnson £3 millions
Marlon King £950,000
Gareth Taylor £500,000
Kris Commons £300,000
Adam Nowland £250,000
David Tarka £100,000 (and yet to play a game since signing in Dec 03!!!!!

which I make around £5.1 millions

Id expect Megson to spend what he gets slightly more wisely than that evidence. Hope not though!!!

Says the Notts Forest Board are "considering the offer"

More like dancing around naked drinking champagne!

Forets seem bemuuused by this Tottenham "interest" in reid as they have reached an agreement for cash+player deal with............

Southampton.

for whom Redknapp is quoted as saying as he is not confident of the deal going through as he expects to be beaten to Reid's signature by Tottenham, although NFFC are adamant that they have had no enquiries from Spurs for Reid, only Dawson

Apparently it's £2m now, £2m in the summer, the rest dependent on appearances and achievements, plus a 10% sell-on fee.

Initially thought it seemed a bit steep, but then I haven't seen either one play before so am happy to wait and see. I assume Dawson didn't play in the game against you?

wherever the money is
I think Spurs have done well out of it. £8 million was probably a bit high but Reid can fill the left hand side of midfield role which a lot of clubs struggle with and he was by far the most skillful player on show down here even though he was only about 60% fit.

Considering Reid has thrown hissy fits all season and is way overweight, he looked a pretty useful player against us. If he gets into shape and has any ambition he could be a useful acquisition. I would query his desire if he's not happy at a club like Forest. If he'd been trying this season Forest probably wouldn't be where they are in the table. If ever proof was needed that team spirit is as important as ability, the comparison between the players Forest have and the Albion is it.

How come we could only get £1.5m for BZ from Spurs?
Seems they are easily parted from their money by everyone else.
