Ignoring the obvious jokes, I wonder whether (as suggested by someone on here a few weeks ago) we might make a bid for Monkhouse. Hartlepool seem to be most pundits tip for the drop and he may be keen to link up with Poyet again. From the sound of it Jamie Smith played well at the weekend so at least we haven't got a desperate rush to sign someone before the weekend.
