Southampton v Millwall

My brother and dad went to this one at the weekend. Apparently a very scrappy game which Southampton were slightly fortunate to win. Secondly, Millwall caused all sorts of trouble all afternoon.

How the HELL are the old bill going to deal with that lot at our place, with all the transport issues we've got?

im sure special arrangements will be made for the likes of Milwall, Leeds, Palace.

Not quite sure what they would be though! eek

Well quite. Getting to the stadium from non-segregated trains at Brighton station isn't going to work. And I can see it being a problem keeping their fans in after the final whistle, especially if they're 5-0 down with half an hour still to play. I remember that nightmare at Selhurst, you'd have a riot on your hands with that lot.

I have E-mailed the club regarding this issue and they do not seem to share my concerns

I was speaking to my Dad about this as his a hammer, and he said the club are putting on a set train for fans, they have to pick there tickets up from the ground, and then get a escort to the station and then on the train set aside for them.

Offer them free hugs at the ground? Maybe the club will consider only letting in fans using official Millwall coaches from a specified pic up/drop off place. That doesn't stop anyone getting on the train just to roam the exterior concourse for trouble.

That aggro last time we played comes to mind as well.

Just ban their fans from the Amex and don't let them have any tickets, sorted.

We didn't have any problems with Millwall at Withdean so I'm not sure why people think there will be problems at the Amex?

Sure there wont be, they are a lovely bunch, just read that thread on their board about this.

There will be trouble when they come down this year if there is not some kind of segregation at the station etc, of course there will.

Let's get past Leeds and Palace before we start worrying about Millwall shall we?

Err because at Falmer both sets of fans seem to come out of the stadium together mingling with eachother. It's asking for trouble to happen !

This worries me a bit as well. I travel down from London for the games using the train. I don't want to be cooped up with the Palace very much!
