definately not Bristol/Rovers game as there is no fencing, I was nearly crushed at that game against the fencing!

Great photo - made me go all goose-pimpley and I can feel the tears welling up.

I'd have been somewhere near to the post in the middle of the picture.

Isn't it funny, though, how the picture looks sort of dated already? You can see it won't be long until we'll look at that picture the way we look at pictures from the 70s and comment on the comedy clothing and haircuts...

Am in there somewhere, remember being sort of two thirds of the way back, to the right of the goal looking at the pitch!

One possible reason for lack of stripes (along with the fact it was a damp drizzly day and you needed a coat) was the fact most people refused to buy stuff from the club shop in those days. I know I refused to even buy programmes at that time. Any money was seen as going directly into Archer's pocket. So unless you wanted to wear an old shirt from a season or two back, it was civvies only.
